Retirement Planning
Preparing for retirement involves establishing clear income goals for your post-work life and identifying the necessary steps to reach them, making it a vital process for securing your retirement.
APPROACH
How we help?
When considering your retirement goals, we will consider issues with your superannuation like contribution opportunities, income streams and the correct investment allocation for your risk profile. We’ll discuss any Centrelink entitlement you may receive and how to maximize that entitlement.
We’ll also consider any other assets you have that will also contribute to supporting your retirement goals, and finally any estate planning issues we may need to consider.
Our goal is to maximise what you have, so you’ll live the best version of your retirement that’s possible.
PROCESS
How we do it

If you agree that personal financial advice is in your best interests, you will receive a quote for the cost of developing your financial plan (called an SoA) based on the scope agreed to with your adviser.
/03
Developing your Plan
If you decide to proceed, we will research and develop an appropriate strategy based on your goals and financial position and document this in an SoA.
/04
Presenting your Plan
When your plan is complete, we’ll contact you to arrange an appropriate time to explain our advice including risks and costs associated with any recommended strategy, and provide you with a copy of the SoA
/05
Presenting your Plan
We will go through the steps involved to implement your plan and answer any further questions you have. For comprehensive advice, we will arrange the paperwork needed to implement our advice on your behalf where possible.

FAQ’s
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if I am ready to start retirement planning?
You’re ready to start retirement planning when you want clarity and confidence about your money, retirement income, and lifestyle after work. Greybox Wealth helps you understand what steps you need to take now so you can enjoy a smooth and secure retirement.
How much does a retirement plan usually cost?
A comprehensive retirement plan typically costs between $2,200 and $4,000, depending on the complexity of your financial situation and the level of advice you need. In many cases, advice fees can be deducted directly from your superannuation, which effectively provides a 15% tax advantage compared with paying from your personal cash flow. We always provide a clear, upfront quote before any work begins
How will I know if my retirement plan is still on track?
We regularly review your retirement plan to make sure it continues to align with your goals, lifestyle, and financial position. If your circumstances change or the strategy needs adjusting, we update your plan so you remain on the right track.
How do you create a personalised retirement plan?
We begin by gaining a deep understanding of your goals, superannuation, investments, savings, and lifestyle needs. From there, we build personalised strategies covering retirement income, super optimisation, Centrelink considerations, and investment planning tailored specifically to your circumstances.
What if I’m not sure when I want to retire?
That’s completely normal. We help you model different retirement ages and show how each option affects your superannuation, retirement income, savings, and future lifestyle. This gives you the clarity to choose a retirement timeline that feels right for you.
